My Farm 30th Anniversary Edition

Alison Lester grew up on a farm by the sea. My Farm is her story of a memorable year, the year she got a palomino pony for Christmas. Trick-riding horses, mustering cattle, training the dog, competing at the local show, feeding calves, picking mushrooms, raising a baby wombat, building cubbies, cutting hay, swimming ponies in the dam, hypnotizing chooks ... all the activities through the seasons are depicted with child-like mischief and humour. A warm, authentic and often humorous 'child's-eye view' of growing up in rural Australia, this sparkly hardback edition of My Farm celebrates over 30 years in print and close to 200,000 copies sold. Alison Lester's books are favourites with children and adults all around the world, with over 3 million copies sold in Australia, where she was the first Australian Children's Laureate. Her books Magic Beach, Imagine, My Farm, Are We There Yet? and Kissed by the Moon are Australian classics. My Farm is a long-standing favourite for its: - authentic 'slice of life' storytelling - relatable childhood themes - farm animals and country setting - humour and warmth.
