In 1993, when Marie Gesto vanished Harry Bosch was assigned the case. But the 22-year-old woman could not be found-dead or alive-and she haunted Bosch. Thirteen years later, Harry Bosch, now in the Open-Unsolved Unit, gets a call. A man accused of two heinous killings is willing to come clean on several other murders. One, he claims, is that of Marie Gesto. Bosch has to get close to a man he hunted-and hated-for thirteen years.
